Which types of Indonesia visas require this medical?

A medical certificate is generally required for all KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) categories, including Work, Student, and Investor visas. It is also frequently requested by employers during the pre-employment phase. Short-term tourist visas or Visas on Arrival (VoA) do not require a medical.

When should I book my medical?

We recommend booking your medical 4–6 weeks before you intend to travel. Indonesian health certificates are usually only valid for 60 to 90 days from the date of issue, so timing is critical to ensure the document is valid when your visa is finalized.

How long does the appointment take and when do I get results?

The clinic appointment takes approximately 30–45 minutes. Because of the extensive laboratory work required (including HIV and Hepatitis screening), your final results and signed Indonesia medical certificate are typically ready within 3–5 working days.

Is a 10-panel drug test required for Indonesia?

A Chest X-ray is mandatory. The doctor must certify that there are no signs of pulmonary tuberculosis on the official medical certificate.
