Who can apply?
Any individual applying for a long-stay visa at the Greek Consulate. This includes Digital Nomads, financially independent persons (FIP), employees of Greek companies, and students enrolled in long-term academic programs.

Eligible Visa Types:

FAQs about our Greece Visa Medical

Which types of Greece visas require this medical?

This medical is required for all National D-Visas intended for stays between 90 and 365 days. Common categories include the Digital Nomad Visa, Work Visas, and Golden Visas. Short-stay “C-Type” Schengen visas (for holidays under 90 days) do not require this medical certificate.
You should book your medical 4–6 weeks before your consulate appointment. The Greek Consulate generally requires documents to be “recent”—often within 1 month of your application submission. Ensure you leave time for lab results and the postal delivery of the original signed certificate.
The clinic appointment takes approximately 20–30 minutes. Because a syphilis blood test and a chest X-ray are required, your final results and the stamped Greek medical form are typically ready within 2–3 working days.
Yes, a Chest X-ray is the standard method used to certify that an applicant is free from active Tuberculosis (TB), which is a key requirement for the Greek consulate.
The Greek certificate often requires the doctor to confirm you do not have any diseases that could pose a risk to public health, such as cholera, plague, or viral hemorrhagic fevers.
Beyond TB screening, the medical often includes a check for HIV and Syphilis to satisfy the “communicable disease” requirements of the Greek Ministry of Migration.
