About our Clinic
The Scuba Diving Medical is a vital health check required for recreational divers wanting to dive in the UK or in an internationally with a recognised PADI diving centre or instructor.

No. A HSE Medical is for commercial divers (divers at work) and is legally required annually. A PADI/Recreational Medical is for recreational divers and is only required if you answer “Yes” to a health question on the PADI self-declaration form.
The Chester Step Test measures your aerobic capacity VO2 max). Scuba diving is physically demanding, so we need to ensure your heart and lungs can handle the exertion of swimming against currents.
