This page is for patients who have been requested by the DVLA to be seen for drug and urine testing.

We currently offer this service in Northampton.

Please book your medical appointment by filling out the form below and fully reading the content so that you are prepared for the appointment.

What you need to bring to the appointment: –

  1. Photographic I.D – driving license or passport are acceptable
  2. Your original letter from DVLA with the ‘M’ reference number
  3. Payment if required, it will state on the back of your DVLA letter – the doctor will ask you for payment prior to the medical, please have correct change if possible.

What will happen during the appointment?

Please arrive 10 minutes early. You will begin by having an ID check and filling in a questionnaire.

For urine samples you will be directed to give your sample on site and then the doctor will ensure it is packaged and sent of for analysis correctly.

For blood samples, after initial questionnaire is completed we will draw the sample of blood from you, measure your height and weight and send the sample away for analysis.

For urine samples we recommend bringing a bottle of water or drink as there are none available on site.

Cancellation Terms

If you need to cancel or rebook please contact us with 24 hours notice. If you do not contact us we will mark you as ‘did not attend’ and advise the DVLA accordingly. We will be happy to rebook you for one further appointment. If you fail to attend your second appointment we will advise the DVLA that you did not attend and unfortunately we will not be able to book you again in our clinic. The DVLA will advise you of the outcome.

Please note if you are late then we may run late and there may be a longer waiting time, please try to arrive early and give yourself at least 1 hour to ensure the whole process is completed correctly.
